Re: The What Are You Reading Now Thread

I am serious here (I appreciate it is hard to tell sometimes) however could anyone recommend or suggest a bible to me that would, you know, talk to me! What I'm looking for is something that is explanatory in language I would understand in both testaments, well new mainly. It would have to be a christian bible for my initial "readings" since any other kind of bent would blow my mind!

well for me tyler the only version i think you should get is The King James Version. I wouldnt trust other version cause they take stuff away from it. Like they took away virgin birth and put young girl, and stuff like that.

And you should be able to understand the kjv because its written in 8th grade english. If I can handle it I know you can lol.

The New King James Version makes it a little easier to understand, but still keeps the integrity of the original King James Version.

I'm a good old rebel,
Now thats just what I am,
And for this Yankee nation,
I do not give a damn.
I'm glad we fought against her,
I only wish we'd won.
I ain't asking any pardon for anything we've done.

Re: The What Are You Reading Now Thread

I just finished Valley of the Dolls, by Jacqueline Susann. I am going to start Between the Bridge and the River by Craig Ferguson this evening.

Re: The What Are You Reading Now Thread

^ Is that the same Craig Ferguson as in the comedian and talkshow host? Whats the book about?

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

Re: The What Are You Reading Now Thread

I believe he has cut out all of the pages and stuck them together in one new superbook. It's almost like a Goosebumps: Choose Your Own Adventure

I have not started it yet, but I am told it is 'a witty, charming and touching' account of growing up and show buisness.

I just find Craig Ferguson hilarious, and apparently his writing style is similar to Carrie Fisher's, and her books are fantastic.
