Now since many of you(I'm pretty sure all of you, maybe not Slim depending on birth dates) are older than me. What do you know of purpose? Now this question carries a lot of weight to it. I mean, I understand I'm young, and I don't want to grow up to fast, but I've found myself wondering a lot, what's the purpose of me living, what's the reason? Guessing that some of you have found it. I'm sure people such as Mr. Cool, Simon, Felix, Tyler all have children that are a huge part of their lives. But I'm just wondering like at my age, did you ever struggle with this question to?

No, cause thats way too serious a question for me to even think about. I dont want to spend my youth, what little of it is left, sitting around pondering the meaning of life - I want to be out there, living my life.

To me, there is no reason were here, we just are. End of. Theres no purpose, its not all part of some big cosmic scheme, its not an experiment being carried out by aliens. We are what we are. You think too much

I don't now and I didn't then ponder this too greatly. Sometimes, people "think" about stuff way too much and, largely, these people don't seem to me to be too happy. Life just happens and you work to make it happen well and enjoy it.

It can be a little to do with intelligence as well. I watched a programme recently that basically covered how people that are greatly intelligent (and I'm not suggesting for one moment that any of us are) are typically far more unhappy than people that have set their sights lower, or alternatively, gain greater pleasure in more simple pursuits.

I agree that smart people or intelligent people tend to be unhappy. I've often found myself depressed with this type of thing. This isn't a meaning of life question, no one will ever know the meaning of life because it's conjecture. You can find a purpose, or a reason to live, that's what this thread is about.

I don't wonder so much about the meaning of life, but if I will be successful or not. I worry about finding a good job etc....

I often wonder if I'll live long enough to make all this schooling worth the trouble. I have been in school for almost 20 years now. If I die w/in 20 years of graduating, I will be rightly pissed off.
