I have a friend who changes her best friend every couple of months. I dont know what her deal is. She'll be really close to someone, to the point of living in their pockets, and then they get phased out. She clings to someone new. Since Ive known her, which is about 4 years, She's been through 8. And even repeated some of them. I dont understand it, its not like they fall out, its just like she gets bored and phases them out. But Im so sick of picking up the pieces when she just stops hanging out with these people, when they happen to be friends of mine too. They're left hurt and confused and lost, which is understandable.

Anyone else know anyone like that? We're not close enough for me to able to talk to her about it, but she's back with one of my better friends and I dont want it to end in crap again, like the last time.

Usually people who skip around like that are looking for handouts. They seek it here and there and then when the well runs dry they come crawling back to you . Screw that. I don't deal with it. I can't stand someone who won't try to take care of themselves.

I've got no respect for people like that. It migt just be me, but I feel like I've always tried to do best by my friends. Now, I can't say the choices I made were the best ones, but I can honestly say I tried to do right. And so for people like this to just chop and change really pisses me off. It shows an absolute lack of reapect for anyone who's put in the time and effort to be with them.

I totally agree. But she flits from friend to friend without thinking shes doing anything wrong. Its not like she uses them for money or presents or anything, it totally is like she just gets bored.

A lot of my friends from my home town are lame like that. My friend Jess is distant from a lot of her friends, because all she does is spend time with her boyfriend. She dropped out of school, moved back in with her parents. She complains to me every night that shes bored and tired of just hanging out with her boyfriend, so we made plans to go out this weekend when I came home from school for the weekend.

I call her last night, and she says she can't go because she doesen't know when her boyfriend is going home. This was at 5, and the movie was at 10. Why not just send him home? Now she's online bitching to me that she didn't get to do anything this weekend. Why are girls so stupid?
