I'm pretty sure a few people I've known over the years have thought I was gay, which has never really bothered me. I'm well-dressed, I have great hair, and I like art; in most small Canadian towns, those are major red flags.

I was still a virgin then, and I made out with this fairly attractive girl at a party. After that, she began to really, really chase after me, and she started telling everybody how much she wanted to sleep with me. But for whatever reason, I couldn't bring myself to be attracted to her; I found her personality grating and her desperation unbearable, to the point that it physically turned me off. Needless to say, I probably made a few of my friends think twice about my sexuality when I refused to "just fuckin' do it already".

The fact I'm engaged now might be a give away, but when I was younger, I was quiet, fairly respectful, and tried my hardest to not be a dick. And where I'm from, I guess that makes you gay.

Sort of like Freak, I had a girlfriend in 11th grade, but she went to an all-girl school. Right there you know what that means - she's sexually repressed and eventually, she'll want it bad. That happened once when we were making out in my basement. I was a virgin then (pretty sure she was too) and hadn't gone very far around the bases. Well she unbuttoned her shirt all the way while we were making out, and told me to take off her bra. I had no clue what I should do as I didn't want it to lead to sex (doubt it would've), so I just stood there dumbfounded staring at her body. A few moments later the door to the basement opened and we had to hurry to get our "things" back in order anyway. But a few days after that debacle she broke up with me. But getting back to the "gay" thing: about a year ago a bunch of us guys were playing at a pool hall while the girls sat near us at the bar and drank. A pretty plastered girl walked up to our group of girls and pointed at the guys, saying "Is he gay?" Knowing none of us were, our girls just said no and she stumbled away. When the girls told us they were asked it, all us guys asked "Well, WHO was she pointing to?" The girls never asked, which pissed us off. We wanted to know who looked gay!! So it'll be a mystery which of us 6 guys that night looked like a homo.
