How do you handle yourself?

I have always been a bit Jekyl/Hyde-like, but lately I seem to be getting a bit worse. I don't get to the point where I sit there and yell, or make personal insults, but I have this little frequent arguments with random people. The bad part is, while I'm not seriously affected and can carry on with a normal relationship, I do seem to be affecting others. That's not really how I want to be. But, I know others want to say the stuff I do, but they're able to show some sort of restraint ... I just can't do it. I've tried the trick of counting to 3, but I never get that far. How do you calm yourself down?

because I am. I never used to be but I got to a point now where I cannot stand stupidity. I'm still a really nice person but once someone irritates the hell out of me I let them have it.

Usually it happens at work though, and I snap at various people. Like today, I was informed about a couple of "policies" regarding how accounts are handled after I've been doing it the way I thought was correct for 2 months. After being corrected though I just snapped at my boss, which she seemed to take a bit personal.

But yeah, like you, I wasn't always like this. Before I could take it and just carry on. Now though I just go off without even thinking about what I'm saying.

If it's at work I have a five knuckle shuffle in the gents, if it's at home I have a five knuckle shuffle over dinner. Well, not liteally "over" the dinner, since that would just be wrong and if the gravy then splattered on TD junior....well that could smart somewhat.
