I got some crazy news recently...

So, my parents grew up as parts of poor farming families in the former Yugoslavia (Montenegro, to be exact). And, the land that my parents families lived on technically still belong to us.

Montenegro is becoming a very very popular resort destination, because of its location on the Adriatic Sea, and near the Mediterranean Sea. So, my cousin decided to go out there and look into how much we can sell the land for.

So, it turns out we can sell the land for about $2.5 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

After splitting it up between my father and his 5 brothers, my parents would get about $400,000 before taxes.

Now, my uncle on my mother's side is looking into how much he can sell their land for. So, we might see a nice little windfall of money in a few months/years...

Nice! Montenegro is indeed becoming a popular destination here in Europe. I'd quite fancy taking a trip there to see what it's like. Hope it all works out well for you and your family.

That's pretty nice to hear! My aunts and uncles owned 2 pieces of land in Florida. I guess they were in great spots at the time, they sold them unwisely a while back. Not sure how much they got, or where they were even located, but right now, those two regions are heavily populated I believe with real nice houses and buildings.
