Crying Is it better to leave a friend in the dark?

Say you saw your friends partner cheat - would you say something? Of course, its the right thing to do, but it would kill me to have to be the one to hurt them. And then theres the added complication that maybe they wouldnt believe you.

What would you do? And has anyone ever been in this situation?

They need to know.

Believe me I was dating someone once before I was married and wish someone would have told me what happened before I found out...

On the other end if it was a mistake instead of eating at the person who did it in trying to hide it they get it out there and deal with it and hopefully move on from the pain of whats happened.

Re: Is it better to leave a friend in the dark?

hmm... lets see..

My Friend Cheated on his girl I would.....

be upset with him, tell him how big of a douche he is, and tell him he needs to tell his girl. I would not however tell his girl, UNLESS he keeps doing it and then I couldnt see myself just letting that happen.

I Found my friends girl cheating on him...

In a heart beat. I would go right to him and be like dude, your gf is f*ckin cheatin on you dude, end that sh!t right now.

Re: Is it better to leave a friend in the dark?

I totally agree with you all, but is it really that easy? I would totally want to say something, but its hard to find the courage to knowingly hurt that person that you care about. Would you actually be able to do it?

Yes and I have.

You come out of a better person for being honest and one day that person will thank you for telling them.

Re: Is it better to leave a friend in the dark?

Just to clarify, Im not in this situation, but someone I know is. She saw her friends boyfriend kiss another girl and is unsure what to do. She thinks the guy will deny it all, and that she'll believe him.
