It's your call. I find your generalizing really confusing, obnoxious and ill-informed, but we're also from very different places. Sometimes I just find it hard to imagine you actually have any kind of reason behind your opinions.

For instance, what "society" are you talking about? North America? White America? The Appalachian boondocks of West Virginia?

And when you put a word like "cool" in quotation marks, who are you quoting? Certainly not yourself. Who and/or what makes it "cool"?

Also, what is it? You say "anything to do with the rap/hip hop culture," but you obviously know next to nothing about that culture... What are you picturing when you refer to it?

That's a lot of questions, I know. And I have more. I just don't get it. I mean, your favourite football player is Randy Moss. I don't get it.

Yeah I pretty much agree, most people dislike cultures they don't know anything about. Not ALL of the Rap/Hip-hop sub-culture wears baggy pants and large medallions. Granted, it's not a select few either. And myself, I wear baggy pants. Not because I'm gangster or part of that crowd but because I don't need my balls to be crunching in my pants all day. Maybe if you had a better understanding of the sub-culture you wouldn't hate it so much, I mean who knows.

I am talking about the majority of the country when I say "society". Rap/hip hop is what sells the best, it is what is on t.v., it is what the majority of young America listen to.

I was referring to it as "cool" just meaning that it is what most young people listen to. It is the most popular music in the U.S. right now...no question.

When I refer to rap/hip hop culture I am referring to how the majority of those rap/hip hop stars portray themselves. They have a certain attitude and look which is copied by young Americans.

I play the Randy Moss thing for a reaction a lot of times since I get called a homer a lot. I think he is an incredible football player, but I can't agree with everything he does.

So what? Young kids think it's cool to throw gang signs, crip walk, and form their hands together like shotguns and pistols. It's not a big deal especially if they are educated enough to not gt involved in drug trafficking and all that shit.

Pretty much.. most peopl I know that love rap music only like it because of the beats anyway. It's easy to sing along with and dance to. It hypes you up. I could go on and on..

Society is not doomed because of rap. Society is doomed because the school systems suck and nobody wants them to improve.

It's so not just the mainstream, if that's what you think, you obviously have your head in the clouds. How else are you supposed to get a freakin vote without telling people something they only want to hear? It's so ridiculous. You fucking people want more fucking service and lower fucking taxes. Now I ain't no fucking mathematical genius but the fucking money has got to come from somewhere. So what do you do? You egg a fucking politician on to tell you he is going to lower taxes, and then what? You crucify him because service goes down. It's fucking stupid. Maybe if people actually got an education(Oh wait, they cut the funding for that) they'd realize how stupid and fucking hypocritical they are compared to these so called "Corrupt Politicians"

I have no idea to who you are referring with the "You fucking people" comment but if you are referring to Republicans, you are not referring to me.

I don't consider myself a Democrat or a Republican.

I think the government is too big and we need to drastically cut the size of the government and when you cut the size of the government guess what else yoiu cut? The COST of government therefore in effect, lowering taxes or getting rid of them all together.
