A talk in another area made me think that this would be a good topic to bring into here. Please... DO NOT BELITTLE ANYONE DUE TO THEIR BELIEFS AND DO NOT MOCK THERE BELIEFS! PLEASE KEEP THIS A CIVIL DISCUSSION WHERE WE CAN TALK ABOUT WHAT WE BELIEVE AND WHY WITHOUT ANY JUDGEMENT FROM ANYONE...
Now with that in mind do you belive there is a God. Why or why not... and if you do believe in God what would you describe God(s) to be like?

Personally I ama Christian and I believe in God and of course Jesus. I believe that Christ was sent to earth as a part of God and is meant to be an example of how we should strive to live our lives, selfless and focused only on love. To keep it as simply put as I can I believe that there is a God and he IS love. Without him love is impossible.

I do not beleive in ''religion''. God is a relationship. And people are the ones who made religion.
I believe there is a God, and he died on the cross for our sins so we can be saved and spend eternity in heaven. I believe he arose on the 3rd day and is still living today.

I do not believe in Religion. More blood has been spilt in the name of Religion than any other cause in the History of Man. I believe we have a pre destined purpose and eventually we all have to answer for our actions but not to Christ, Jesus or anyone else.
I do have a lot of respect for people who keep a hold of their faith in modern day society but I cannot see how the religious community can talk peace when more blood has been spilt in its name than anything else.
I believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus was the Son of God sent to earth to save the world from sin. I believe that when Jesus ascended back up to heaven the Holy Ghost was sent as a guide to all christians and as proof that God is real.
I believe in gifts of the Holy Spirit. When people are truly trying to do as God wants they are given gifts of the Spirit. Some are given the gift of knowledge, some are given the gift of faith, some are given the gift of healing, some are given the gift of working miracles, some are given the gift of prophecy, some are given the gift of discerining of spirits, some are given the ability to speak different kinds of tongues, and to others the interpretation of tongues.
I have witnessed some of these gifts in use and will tell you all that they are 100% real. I have heard the speaking of different tongues in church and I know all of those people would never make any of that up. They couldn't if they wanted too.

Well you got to look at the word ''religion''. We are talking about a lot of different people with that. And there are also a lot of false people out there who claim to know the Lord and they really do not.
And also, I would say more blood has been spilt because of this because it has been around for a very, very long time, it is ageless, so of course there has been a lot of blood over this... And also,the bible is not a We must stay calm, peace in all the wolrd and so forth kinda book. If you read it, it is actually pretty radical..

Just because some radical followers of different types of religion shed blood in the name of that religion should not be blamed on the religion.
