Money in the Bank

When you get your paycheck what do you do with it? Do you put it all in the bank? Do you pay your bills first then use the rest for fun? Put a little in savings and a little for fun, and the rest for the bills?

For me, I put it in my TD fund. I am saving up some money for his retirement. It is in a few months I believe...

Re: Money in the Bank

I get direct deposit right to the bank. I have it setup so 25% of my income goes to my savings account anyway.

I usually immediately make a house payment and a car payment. The rest is spending money.

Re: Money in the Bank

Depending on how much cash I have for spending I take out accordingly and just put the rest in checking, then once my checking gets to over a few grand i move money over from there into my savings. At all times though I got enough in my checking to cover the bills when they come in.

Re: Money in the Bank

I don't make enough to get anything saved up. Although I was just informed today that my manager has the thought of making me a key holder/shift supervisor. He would want me to open the store and count all the registers and what not. Hopefully that comes with atleast a dollar raise. That will also come with 40 hours I hope too. Things are looking on the up and up for me now, I could really use the money.

Re: Money in the Bank

I barely make enough money to keep my car going.

I can't save any money right now. I am all ready $7500 in the negative for school and I have three more semesters left. I will be in debt for the first couple of years of a serious job just paying for school.

*Sighs*

Re: Money in the Bank

All my money goes into the bank. If I have spending cash it's usually spent on food/movies/crack rocks, ect.

Re: Money in the Bank

I have a set amount for bills that I have to put aside and the rest I buy clothes and booze.

I get paid bi-weekly.
