Rugrats, kiddies, children

So do you have any? The topic came up this weekend from my wife. Apparently she is beginning to be interested in having some. I dunno, I still want a few years of "adult fun" before the responsibility of children. Is everyone here interested in having children, or are there some who just shoo that idea away, and never want to be a father/mother?

How many do you have or want? Anyone have an "oops" baby?

What about only children...do you think they get way too much attention than a set of siblings do? Is it healthy for a child to grow up without any brothers or sisters? Maybe you can speak from experience.
And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (12/3/2008)

Violent American movies like Die Hard, Terminator, and Lethal Weapon do very well in places like Canada, Japan, and Europe. Very well. Yet these countries do not have nearly the violence of the United States. In 1989, in all of Japan, with a population of 150 million, there were 754 murders. In New York City that year, with a population of only 7.5 million, there were 2,300. It's bred in the bone. Movies and television don't make you violent; all they do is channel the violence more creatively.

I'm an only child. I think I turned out okay and I rarely felt lonely as a kid.

I want two kids though, I think. Well, unless I have the first one and decide there's no way I'm forcing another one outta there. It'll be years yet though...I couldn't contemplate having kids now - I'd feel bad bringing a kid into the world that I couldn't take proper care of.

No children here, I love them but I'm gonna wait until I can afford them. ;)

Re: Rugrats, kiddies, children

I'll end up having some messed up kids probably >.> But yes the idea of bringing another life to this world intrigues me.
And I don't think, you see the places inside me that I find you,
And I don't know, how we separate the lies here from the truth,
And I don't know, how we woke up one day somehow thought we knew,
Exactly what we're supposed to do.
So leave me, at the Roadside,
And hang me, up and out to dry,

I'd like to have several kittens. I think they're better than human children

I won't be having any kids by choice for a few years. I'd like 2 or 3, 2 boys and a girl if I could plan it that way. I wouldn't be able to afford one now, I can barely afford me right now.

Re: Rugrats, kiddies, children

I would like to have about 4 kids I think. There were four in my family and that seemed to work out pretty well.

I do wish my siblings would have been closer together in age. There is about five years difference between all of us. My brother is 5 years older than me, my sister is 10 years older than me...etc.
The destruction of the past is perhaps the greatest of all crimes.

Ugh children! At the moment the very thought of children fills me with horror! I just have no interest whatsoever, put a baby at one side of the room and a puppy at the other side and while the majority of girls flock to the baby going "Oooh, ahhh!" Im on the other side of the room playing with the puppy. Maybe I should get a puppy??

Im not saying Ill always feel this way but for the forseeable future, no way jose!
Men never grow up, they just grow older.
