Violent American movies like Die Hard, Terminator, and Lethal Weapon do very well in places like Canada, Japan, and Europe. Very well. Yet these countries do not have nearly the violence of the United States. In 1989, in all of Japan, with a population of 150 million, there were 754 murders. In New York City that year, with a population of only 7.5 million, there were 2,300. It's bred in the bone. Movies and television don't make you violent; all they do is channel the violence more creatively.

i once called my teacher with the Terminator and Martin Lawrence sound board. he really thought it was the police calling for him about weed. i used my real voice in the background. "He's lying!".

i walked to his apartment laughing a few times thinking about it. i went over to rent some games of his and he didn't laugh he just gave me a smirk and we talked for awhile before i left. good times.

Man my teachers hated video games, one of them tried to get the video store to stop renting them!

That's only the tip of a very small ice burg. Alaskans in Small villages worship basketball. every week day while the Gymnasium is open that's where everyone is at. The gym is equivlent to clubs in the states and bigger places around Alaska.

When that's not open, in summers a group of people(teens, preteens, etc.) everyoen is out side for as long as they want to be. from 11 pm to 6 am until they are tired.

when they go inside it's all videogames DVD,s or what ever is on tv.

Some people who are active during the day, go hunting fishing, riding around(Argos, Four Whellers, Ski Doos, ect.)

When in school, there,school work, PE, 5 min breaks, PE(it's meant to bbe typed twice.), etc. You either go to school and stay in class or you can get into the gym. or you drop out and odon't worry about it. Going to gym is the biggest reason alot of people stay in school.

How good you play basketball is = to how much people like you. the better you play the more friend you'll most likey have. the more weed you have the more likey you;ll have more friends.

when your out of school, and you're and adult the bingo hall(Tuesdays and fridays) that's where everyone is at. when pay day comes, people at bingo tell there friends that it's poker night. they stay up all night from 7 pm to about 9 am sometimes even alot longer. other then those two places, it's camping or a picnic. and the annual July fourth games, Christmas games(some dude wil dress up as Santa and pound on the door of the gym and walk in and say merry chrismas)that's when all of the people exchange gifts), Thanksgiving, etc, eveyone in the village(350) go to the Gym and celebrate excanhe gifts, or food(depanding on the time of year).

ans then there's the school trips. i'll try to think of more.

My teacher who was about 24-27 at the time. has the media covered. He had a Sterio that plays DVD,s he has a good colection os Anime, good fair of old kung fu movies, bruce lee fan. Lord of the rings fan. he let me rent Medal of honor(2001 or 02 and he didn't want money, just good friends is all.) for the PS2 along with some DVDs. A year before that, him and our science teacher, got allowded to play some RTS game on the school computer. Age of Empires or some other game after hours. he's friggin awsome, like a big brother to some of us. he moved two years ago though.
