Friday the 13th - Cause for Fear?

So everyone says that Friday the 13th is always a fateful day. Does anyone believe in this? I have heard of people calling in sick whenever Fridays are on the 13th, or just staying at home for fear of something bad happening to them. Do you do this, or think it's ridiculous?

Maybe something bad has actually happened to you on a Friday the 13th in the past? A friend of mine's mother passed away on a Friday the 13th, so she no longer does anything on those days. Please share your stories, if any.
And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (12/3/2008)

Violent American movies like Die Hard, Terminator, and Lethal Weapon do very well in places like Canada, Japan, and Europe. Very well. Yet these countries do not have nearly the violence of the United States. In 1989, in all of Japan, with a population of 150 million, there were 754 murders. In New York City that year, with a population of only 7.5 million, there were 2,300. It's bred in the bone. Movies and television don't make you violent; all they do is channel the violence more creatively.

Well.. I'm going out. It's a cause for celebration. I'm going to try and not have any premarital sex tonight and I'm definitely not going camping.

I was supposed to have the day off today but I called in to work.

If you consider that bad luck.

Re: Friday the 13th - Cause for Fear?

I personally don't believe in any of that crap. However, tonight after our softball game, our best girl player (co-ed team) quit the team because she felt "left out" from the rest of the group of players.

So I will chalk up that one for Friday the 13th.

One of my kids was born on a Friday 13th.

It doesn't worry me a bit though.

The 666 under her fringe does a little though

Hahahaha, I wish you were my dad.

(You totally could be.)

One time on a Friday the 13th my dog shit all over the carpet, which he'd never done before even as a puppy.

That whole calling in sick thing and staying at home is the stupidest thing Ive ever heard, almost as stupid as believing in Friday the 13th being unlucky.

Do they not realise that unlucky things can happen in the home just as easily as a work!! Dumbasses!!

Ad no, nothing has ever really happened to me, or anyone I know.
