Re: And the 2nd most popular boys name in the UK is...
Before this thread gets out of hand I would say this...
I am a Christian like Dak and I would recommend to all research on Islamic history.
It may be true that some of us don't agree with is but knowledge is key here.
Not all Islamics are what you see on TV...
There is a vast Muslim history here that if you understand it you can respect their people and understand their viewpoints while disagreeing at the same time.

OHHHH NOEEEEEZ!!!!!!111
I just chalk it up to unoriginality on the Muslims behalf. But I would name my kid Muhammad before I named half the crap people come up with in the rest of the world.
But to me Muhammad sounds as overused in the Muslim community as John, Mike, Tony and Joe combined.
Sorry if I offended and John, Mikes, Tonys or Joes. But come on........
It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

Hahaha, that's so BOSTON of you to include "Tony" in there. I've never met a Tony in my life.
(Well, other than The Great Gunth, who posted on KYN circa 2000 -- but he was from Mass., too.)

My views are not becoming popular. If so this country would not be in the shape it is in today. We have a government that controls EVERYTHING when states should really have the power. Our government is too big....and dumb.

WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! Articles of Confederation, anyone?
YEAH! That worked well.
Furthermore, look at the European Union. The only reason it has experienced slight to moderate success is because they're in a terrible recession. Once one state experiences any kind of economic growth, they'll secede from the union and fail miserably. And for those members that aren't even up to par with some of the "higher class" members, they're not taken care of well at all. France, anyone? There's no reason why France should be in the position it is currently in. If you were to give the states in the USA more power, we would be a complete UN-UNITED States of America, and part of what makes the USA such a powerful country is the fact that each state can help one another out; the fact there's a set standard nationally. If it weren't for that, we'd be going back to the days of just after the civil war, when the states were not united ... there were simple problems with the width of the rail road tracks being different sizes, making it impossible for nationwide transportation.

Our government is too big. I would love to see some states secede from the U.S. and create a new country. Nothing is sure as hell going to be changed about our current government. It is so corrupt it is not even funny...and getting worse every day.

Dak, I don't know where you've come up with this idea, but the repercussions of a rapid secession would absolutely kill the economy. The states that would be most likely to secede would be something like California, Texas, Florida, and New York ... they're the only ones really capable of doing so. You realize that if any one of those were to secede it'd almost put you (and I) into immediate bankruptcy? It'd cause an absolute chaos on the stock market front, and put the United States into an almost immediate recession. As often said, when the USA catches an economic cold, the world has a fever. This would be a real bad fever too.
Think FDIC would protect you? Pfff ... it's propaganda at it's best. Your money would be lost, and we'd be back to the barter system.
