Re: Step Back In Time
Well of course I did live through all of these so shall I just give the correct answer when everyone is done??
I'd probably go back to the 60's for the music and the outbreak of certain "lifestyles" however I feel it's probably like the 80's in that, I always hear how great the 80's were, but they weren't really all that!!
Nope, I'm going to go for the 1760's, go down the Dog & Duck, have half a pint of old speckled peculiar, sing some ditty about Agincourt, screw some hooker in the Old Kent Road, get botulism, die, have a lovely lovely funeral and still get change out of half a crown

I always wanted to live in ancient times for a while but then I decided that it is pointless to ever think that, all I need is a change of settings around here and I'm fine, I'm thinking Japan possibly.
I guess the 70's so I could smoke weed in the park and have sex with whoever without having to worry about aids. I dunno.. everything in the 70's seemed more laid back.
A certain decade has no appeal to me but certain events I would love to be a fly on wall:
July 1st 1916 - Somme in France, despite reading more books than I dare imagine about the Battle of the Somme, I still cannot imagine what went on that morning.
13 Days of the Cuban Missile Crisis in the Sit Room I bet was pretty interesting.
I would have also loved to have been on Titanic.
1910 -1920 seems to be the decade of choice if I had to choose one.
I would like to have been around during the Civil War.
Also the 1950's. I have always liked the music and the cars of that era.
Tyler Durden tells me stories about it all the time. Of course they are pretty tame because he was all ready a senior citizen then!!!!!
