Whats been your biggest mistake in life so far?

Mine would have to be picking drugs and drink over friends when i was only 13 and 14. It pretty much left me with very few 'mates' and the no good grades at school. Now even though im doing okay im not doing as well as i could of.

So what is your biggest mistake in life so far?

Re: Biggest

This might sound trivial to some,

But I would count the biggest mistake of my life so far as being once when I was at my cousins house my mom called me and told me that my dog had got out of his pen. I figured he would just stay around the house so I didn't rush home to put him back in his pen. When I did get home he had been ran over on the road and died.

If I had left when she called I could have saved him.
The destruction of the past is perhaps the greatest of all crimes.

Re: Biggest

Mine was pre-married life....

I was deceived into an affair with a married woman when I was 21.

Not fun times but I learned a lot about trust and protecting yourself.

I've made no mistakes. I've only been taught life long lessons.

Re: Biggest

I've got regrets about some decisions I've made down the years and how I treated people at the time, but I've learnt from them, am still friends with most of them too, so I wouldn't say they were flat out mistakes.

Oh there was one, I mistakenly repped Jay once for a big pile of crap he posted here!

Re: Biggest

The biggest mistake I made was cheating on my (then) girlfriend with another girl. Dumb, dumb. Just like the rest, I have learned from it and would never do that again. I am so fortunate we have moved past that and are happily married today.

TD, the message which was a pile of crap? You gotta narrow it down a little better there.
And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (12/3/2008)

Violent American movies like Die Hard, Terminator, and Lethal Weapon do very well in places like Canada, Japan, and Europe. Very well. Yet these countries do not have nearly the violence of the United States. In 1989, in all of Japan, with a population of 150 million, there were 754 murders. In New York City that year, with a population of only 7.5 million, there were 2,300. It's bred in the bone. Movies and television don't make you violent; all they do is channel the violence more creatively.
