I mean more the stuff that your rents used to tell you when you were young that turned out to be a crock of crap....

For example....

A nice one I heard the other day was that a guy used to be told by his Mom and Dad that the music on the ice cream van when it got near the house was a warning that he'd already run out of ice cream!!

Kids at my school seem to get the following advice:

Pay no attention and stay on the dole the rest of your life.

Have a kid at 14 you get loads of benefits and a free house (which isn't true really)

Education is a waste of time, you can be a labourer like me for the rest of your working life.

Sex with loads of people is great fun and get loads fo really cool diseases and you're wage slips gets a magic mark called the CSA!!!!!!.

Well depending on their teacher maybe both.

Parents are so stupid these days you should have to take a test at 11 when you come into secondary school, if you fail you get sterilised so only those who can spell and read can reproduce. It would solvethe pension crisis and we'd save millions on the dole.

My Dad once told me to gamble every week when I wanted to relieve stress. I was fresh out of high school at the time.

Needless to say he is in debt up to his neck because of this "stress reliever" and I am making more money then he ever did.

Don't get me wrong....I play cards every once in a blue moon but not as often as he did.

I love my father but I never take his advice when it comes to hobbies or vacations.

My Dad is one of those guys who will tell you to suck it up when you get hurt, and you will get better and the pain will go away. That does not apply when you have cancer. He felt really bad about that one a few weeks later when we found out.
