Pretending to be something you're not

When "chatting up" a member of the opposite sex, (or same sex) have you ever pretended to be something you're not?

It doesn't have to be something insane (e.g "Hi my name is Buzz and I'm an astronaut).

I was thinking that I have never done this, but on a small scale, I definitely have.

I can remember a friend and I putting to the test the theory that ladies go for guys with accents by effecting Australian accents in Nottingham (city in England "Midlands") and being somewhat more succesful than usual as a result.

As a very young guy I definitely "big upped" my status in terms of my job title back in the day as well.

What about you yer lying git??

Well I mean I often times have to pretend that what they're saying is interesting or pretend that I'm not only out for sex but that's about it.

And before some take this the wrong way, some girls in my view are only good for a quick screw and others have much more potential. Especially all the ladies of the diner.

I'll usually hype up my football injuries, things like pinched a nerve in my shoulder when a big olinemen stepped on my neck (even though its basically impossible with shoulder pads) or things like if a girl is really phony I'll bullshit some of the famous people I've met. Really depends on the girl, real phony girls just famous people is easy, dumb cheerleader types the injury way is a good way to go (a baseball to the face is always fun) arty girl say you got a short story published. Stupid things that like.

No need to bullshit the ladies, they all love me for me. Well my lady loves me for me. Atleast she tells me so....

I think I always had (and still sometimes ... I don't like taking credit for things) a problem with being way too humble. My friends would actually up talk me a lot.
