Re: Europe "No' To Foreign Cars

I hate foreign cars for the most part. My first car was a nissan and it sucked. I prefer american cars as my last 3 have all been(ford, mercury, dodge.) I probably won't buy any more foreign cars unless i get a mercedes or some shit.

Do French people only like France because they buy cars made in France?

No. That is not what it means.

What buying cars from your own country means is that you are supporting the economy of that country. You are putting those people to work, and not someone from another country.

That apparently is not important to Americans though. The past generations of America would be very disapointed if they knew what was going on today.

I know you didnt mean it like that but some people seem to.

And as for the french i wouldn't buy a french car, its french thats enough for me not to by it. Infact if i was french i would stay in my house ever day of the week.

Re: Europe "No' To Foreign Cars

My first car was a 1984 Honda Accord. I got it back in 2002. I never did any work on it and it lasted. Even up until I sold it to get a new car. Since that car was very reliable, I bought another Honda Accord, and am happy I did.

My mother has been buying Fords her whole life. She has had to do so much maintenance work on that car.

That's why I go with foreign. My advice to people in the American Motor Industry, learn a different trade. Your job will not last.

I have had the opposite luck with Ford. My dad bought Fords as far back as I can remember. Out of all the cars, we got one dud and that was a 1992 Ford Tempo which was a 4 cylinder. The best one was a 1983 Mercury Grand Marquis that we put 260,000 miles on and that NEVER broke down on us.

Foreign cars are expensive to repair when they do break down. The parts for foreign cars are harder to get which makes them more expensive. Even common things like changing breaks pads etc....is more expensive.

I am an American Car until I die.

Re: Europe "No' To Foreign Cars

Other than the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo I can't say I am a huge American vehicle fan and with the chance of me being able to afford that slim I doubt I will ever own an American vehicle. When I was a teen I was a ricer fan but now I am out of that stage and European cars are the way for me. Still some Japanese cars like the Skyline that I wouldn't mind owning though.
