And once, he wrote I love you in roses on my bed, and tied balloons to the frame, (I have a thing for balloons! Lol) and put a present in the centre. He was quite a romantic guy, at the beginning. Of course, it kinda died. | |

I've never actually been a huge fan of generic romantic gestures like buying roses, genetic jewelry, making a trail of rose petals from the floor to the bedroom, or whatever. It just makes you wonder how many other girls they've tried it on! What's really special is a guy who will do something specifically for you...then you know that it's actually something they thought about. For example, I love stargazer lilies and I happened to mention that once to this guy, on our next date he went out and picked a whole bunch from me from his yard...I thought that was really sweet. I also hate commercial holidays like Valentine's Day which puts huge expectations on the guy and girl that are rarely met. It's much more special to just set aside a day for the two of you alone rather than have it be a "set" date. |
