Re: Has TV/Movies influenced your speak?

Every other word out of my mouth is plagerised from somewhere or other. I've never said one wholly original thing my entire life.

Tomorrow's Just An Excuse Away,
So I Pull My Collar Up And Face The Cold, On My Own.
The Earth Laughs Beneath My Heavy Feet,
At The Blasphemy In My Old Jangly Walk.

I can't think of anything that I say that I saw on t.v.

Park the old car that I love the best
Inspections due and it won't pass the test
Funny how I have to put it to rest
And someday I will join it.

Re: Has TV/Movies influenced your speak?

I find myself quoting "Back to the Future" all the time.

For example:

-"I need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 jiggawatts of electricity"
-"Great Scott!"
-"Oh, Doc, this is heavy..."
-"Last night, Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't take Lorraine out that he'd melt my brain."

...and so on.

And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (10/3/2008)

I was surprised when I started getting old. I always thought it was one of those things that would happen to someone else.

Re: Has TV/Movies influenced your speak?

Most of the language I have used in the past 2 years have been a direct steal from How I met your mother.

Examples:
It's going to be Legendary
SUIT UP!
SLUT UP!
You dumped ______(insert hot girls name here). FRIENDSHIP OVER!
Haveeeee you met ____(insert buddy's name here)
Sorry going to have to lemon law you.

...come to think of it...basically everything Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) has said on the show lol
