You've got your girl (or guy, whatever the taste of your palette) coming round for dinner. Got everything sorted really - candles, nice tablecloth, mood lighting, good eats, all that jazz.
But you realise you're short of romantic music! Surely the one factor that can help set the mood more than lights is the music.
So what do you choose? Do you go for more modern R'n'B style romance, like Justin Timberlake, or more old-fashioned, softer melodies and classic lyrics?
Personally, I've got a few songs I love to play when entertaining a lady friend. And most of them are in the "old fashioned soft" category.
"Wicked Game" by Chris Issak is always something that springs instantly to mind - a smouldering, incredibly sexy ballad that is just perfect for that sort of thing.
"You Do Something To Me" by Paul Weller is another song in the same vein. Just really good lyrics, a nice soft melody, and really good vocals too. Jeff Buckley always works too, it's quite soft, dinner party kinda music.
Even some soft classical music works too, but I'm not an expert on that, so I can't think of anything springing to mind.
Now you try and romance me through song.
