Then I would would go downstairs and patrol to make sure no one is there.

Since my neighborhood is full of mostly old people, I think a robber would have a good time in my neighborhood. But I would probably just call the cops. Or maybe come out swinging.

In the past, if I've heard, or thought I heard, a noise, I've lain awake for about ten minutes without moving, listening. If I heard something again, I have three ornamental Samurai swords, so I'd probably pick one up. They're dull as fuck, but I'm sure they look scary as hell. Still, the criminals in this country all seem to now be carrying kalishnikovs, so it wouldn't do any good.
