The kind of parent you'll be

In light of Hogan's show and his "parental skills", what sort of parent do you think you'll be to your teenage children in years to come?

Do you think you'll be a hard ass?

Will you be different to your son's than you are to your daughters?

Re: The kind of parent you'll be

I think TD is just in love with Hogans sexy bald head....

...But who am I to judge.

I'd be a good parent, kindof like Adam Sandler in Big Daddy.....I'd let my kid name himself and do what he wants.

I will be one of those paranoid protective mums that won't let her kids go anywhere or do anything.

I'd be a very different kind of parent.

Like I wouldn't care if my kid drank or smoked weed in the slightest anything heavier he'd get a unique punishment.

But I wouldn't let me him/her read magazines, watch certain stations on tv like much music, mtv stations like that and I'd make sure he/she didn't like rap.

But otherwise I'd be pretty relaxed, sports are cool, but if he/she is a gamer no biggie syall good in my eyes.

Same as suffy really.

Most moms/mums and dads now are to petty over what there kids do. From the like the age of 14 i would let them drink and try smoking.

I would do my best to keep him/her away from chav would that is taking over england because 7/10 of are only looking for fights.

I would just sit back and watch untill i felt the need to punish the kid or help.

I'd disciplin(SP?) my kids when need be, but let them run amuck as long as nothing breaks or it isn't too chaotic. And as long as they do their school work, then they can watch as much TV, go online as long as they want, but I do want them outside playing, excersizing and what not as well. I want them well rounded, and famous and rich, so I can mooch off them

Re: The kind of parent you'll be

I will raise my kids the way I was raised. No beatings for misbehaving but spanking. They will definitely not like rap or hip hop and will not drink, smoke, or take any drugs. I never did and I don't expect them to either. They will learn the value of a hard days work. I will let them help in the garden, with yard work, working on cars, etc.... I will teach them about the good old days when hard work was respected and when any man could succeed in what they do with hard work.

If I have a daughter then shes gonna get an easier ride than a son would, Im not entirely sure why but I just get that feeling.

They'd be free to do what they want but they'd be brought up with manners and WILL get an appropriate punishment if they dont use them. They will respect people and as long as they dont get into too much trouble then I'll be pretty easy going with them. But they'll be made to eat what i say and I wont give in to their whining, Im way too stubborn and they'll learn that pretty soon.

Re: The kind of parent you'll be

If I had any daughters, they wouldn't be allowed to date until 16 or so. Or 40.

If I had a son, I would probably be a lot more lenient on them, and what they do. I just know how much of an a-hole guys can be to girls, so I'd want to protect my daughters. They'll thank me later.
And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (12/3/2008)

Violent American movies like Die Hard, Terminator, and Lethal Weapon do very well in places like Canada, Japan, and Europe. Very well. Yet these countries do not have nearly the violence of the United States. In 1989, in all of Japan, with a population of 150 million, there were 754 murders. In New York City that year, with a population of only 7.5 million, there were 2,300. It's bred in the bone. Movies and television don't make you violent; all they do is channel the violence more creatively.
