Are you a "saver"?

I'm fed up with all these "savers" I know.

People hoarding their cash and putting it away "for a rainy day!"

I just can't do it. It comes in. It goes out. I enjoy my money and I just don't seem to be able to save any of it (apart from investing a bit for the children...it's not much but they should be able to buy the North of England with it....not that they'd want to!).

So are you a saver?

What sort of percentage of your weekly/monthly cash do you save?

I can't save any money right now since I am working part time and going to College full time.

But when I get my degree and start working full time, I guess I will save quite a bit of money since I don't really buy that much stuff.

I saved a decent amount last year since I have a decent paying job now. However, the last 3 months or so I've spend like more than ive made so probably ended up blowing like 5 or 6 g's on stupid shit like losing 1500 at the casino and on booze and shit like that. However I just got a raise so I'll ahve more money to blow but I dont care cuz I'm only part time and will start makin decent money soon enough, that i can just save it all up then. I don't really put a percentage away a week, I just get my check then take out however much cash I think I'll need for the bars and food that week and put whatever is left in.

I put about 15% of my monthly wage into a savings account. Its hard, cause i really want to enjoy my money too but if I ever am gonna get out of thi house and into my own I need to save it!

Although, I have 1 definate pay rise coming this year and another one on top of that possibly, so Ill increase the amount Im saving.

I don't put a certain amount away each month or anything, but I am a tight arse Yorkshire lass. I will go out of my way to save 20p and I won't buy something unless I really need it.
I don't even look at the normal priced stuff in clothes shops either. I go straight to the sale stuff or go to the charity shop next door.
So yes, I'm one of those people you hate

I used to never save really, but over the past several months I saved over 5,000 bucks. I dont really know how either considering I pay a phone bill, got two new credit cards, and drink and eat like a pig...

I'm a bit of a saver. I can be a tight bastard most of the time. I usually just save up loose change, throw it into a pot and then every few months empty it and blow it on something I want.

Right now I am paying off: a $15,000 college loan, a $15,000 car loan, a $6000 credit card bill and am just trying not to be a hermit. So I don't have any money to save. The bank automatically deducts $25 each month from my checking into my savings but that usually gets emptied every couple of months. Bills suck.
