Soooo.....me and my boyfriend broke up, nicely I might add, 6 months ago. We still like each other as people and I wanna stay friends with him because he's like the funnest person i know. Weve both moved on and had relationships since, even though we were together 5 years and i know it'll be a while before im truly over it.

Weve been seeing more of each other recently and if Im honest, we always somehow end up in bed. (Invictus, if youre reading, mouth shut! ) Can we still be friends, would it work?

I guess if im serious about us being mates then we have to stop sleeping with each other right? Lol. Im just confused as to how to go about it and would apprciate any advice or personal experiences that you all might have.

Well, sleeping with each other might bring back those old feelings, which if only one of you had, could be very disasterous. I'd just stop the shanannigans, to save your friendship.

Depends on the person. I went to a Superbowl gathering at my friend's house tonight, which he showed up to. I was invited, he wasn't, but he gets mad that I'm there. I was totally ok about it. And he was the one who cheated on me!

I think some people are ok being friends after. But for some people, being around that person reminds them of what they no longer have, and they would rather not be around that person at all than deal with those emotions.

I think it depends on how the break up was. If it was one of those things where you just weren't enjoying the relationship, and it was an amicable split that's not problem. There probably won't be any hostility or animosity. If it wasn't such a pleasant split, you shouldn't be around each other.

I think the feelings to have sexual relations though will always exist. At least with me. I might not want to date the girl, but I will still want to sleep with them. That might just be me though -- I want to sleep with all women.
