What sports are you good at? Have you always been good or did it take a lot of practice? Do you still play now?

Conversely what sports do you love to play but absolutely suck at?

I was a pretty good rugby player, played at district level for a few years.

Athletics was another sport I was quite good at. I used to compete in the 100m, 80m Hurdles (moving up to 100m hurdles the older I got), long jump, high jump and relay. I was asked to attend county trials for 100m but I was away on holidays at the time so I couldn't go.

I was ok at football, but our school didn't really have a football team. The sports teachers were more interested in Rugby (which is understandable being in Wales!!)

One sport I could never got the hang of was cricket... I wasn't a very good batsman, and I couldn't bowl to save my life.

Nowadays I don't play any of these sports. Occasional game of footy down the park maybe. Used to be in a 5 a side team in University, but we were crap and didn't make it out of our group so we gave up.

Edge will rise again...

I played varsity Soccer my sophomore year. I quit the following year because I couldn't do it with work. I have to admit, I was pretty freaking sweet at Baseball too. A lot of my coaches claimed I could've at least gotten some kind of scholarship if I had continued playing, but I quit ... was a bit scared after I took a line drive to the head. In theory, I probably threw 7,000 pitches, and I only had one come back to me, but that's all it took. During Softball season I absolutely refuse to play pitcher. I'm even scared to play infield.

Right now? Nothing. lol. I was good at baseball in high school, decent at football, and I've always been streaky at basketball. Some days I hit everything, others, can't find the ocean.

I have played soccer for the past 15 years, and i was quite good when i was about 12 cause size didn't really matter then. Now i am pretty much an average player, owing to the fact i am only 5'6" making it hard to get up for headers and easy to overpower.
I am a pretty good indoor soccer goalie, cause the goals are small and I have quite fast reflexes. It is fucking hard sometimes though cause indoor soccer balls are a lot harder than normal soccer balls and people shoot at really close range, so when you take a shot to the nuts it doesn't feel good.

I was always a jack of all trades and master of none. I could do pretty much any sport to a reasonable level but none well enough to stand out. I guess the best ones were football (soccer) and long distance running.

That was probably set in stone when my best achievement was in a decathlon.

I was always pretty good at football and basketball.

Park the old car that I love the best
Inspections due and it won't pass the test
Funny how I have to put it to rest
And someday I will join it.

I still play baseball every summer, and am pretty good at that. Hockey as well, I'm one of the better players on my team when I played last winter.

Basketball I suck at, but I've really never liked playing. Soccer (or futbol as you say over there) is my not cup of tea, either. I played football for a few years as a kid and I was a pretty decent WR.

And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (10/10/2008)

I don't think we should be governing ourselves. What we need is a king, and every now and then if the king's not doing a good job, we kill him.
