Is your brain too active?

No, sorry this isn't a test or quiz.

I think my brain is way too active at night. When I go to bed I have about 30 million friggin' things runnign through my head, what I'm going to do tomorrow, etc.. and then I play out scenerios in my head.. It's really weird but I can't help it.

In the end I often times will lay there for a good two hours, or even get up and go back online. At first I thought it was because I was too busy or because I was just not tired, but in the morning it really shows.

I have to get up but because I've layed there for two hours and haven't slept more then 4 or 5 hours, it's really starting to catch up to me. I think I was awake for about 4 hours today and I thought I was going to colapse from exhaustion.

You should really see a doc man.

I had a similar problem and my physician got me some meds until I started this diet and got my stress level down.

They can help you sleep until you figure out how to calm down at night.

Trust me it helps.

I would suggest having a couple of beers before going to bed. It really helps to relax IMO and only having a couple usually makes you feel sleepy.

I think I may be slowly developing some sort of ADD. I used to be able to sit through class for hours and remember everything for months. Now I can't sit through an hour lecture, and will sometimes leave not remembering one thing.

It's getting really bad when I read textbooks. I can read a page 100 times, and not concenrate on the topic. It was never, ever like this before. And it seems to be getting increasingly worse.

I think I suffer from some of that too Erin but I'll tell you, somehow I always seem to pull it together at the last minute. It sucks having to do things that way, but say I have a paper due in a week, I can sit there and try to get it done early, but it never happens.. I just can't write when I don't have the pressure.

I just find it's gotten really bad with Italian. I can read the vocab over a hundred times, and I just can't remember it. There are others in the class who can recite it after reading it once. And I used to be like that, I used to be able to memorize stuff. I just can't anymore, and I keep failing my quizzes because of it.

I have the exam tonight. I'm hoping for some sort of miracle.

That's very true. I go to my local pub on Thursday evenings at about 8.30 have a few pints, come back at about 10ish and i'm normally out for the count by 11pm... it's tried and tested by me.

Edge will rise again...

The Simpsons had it right....there comes a point when you just feel like your brain is full and you just can't take new stuff in anymore! We should be able to download all the crap out of there and free up space.

Mine is pretty much where I want it. I am not add, I would hate to be. It is very annoying having a conversation with people who are very ADD. Arrrrg!

I have awful memory for some things. Like doing bus routes for the first few times and shit I can never remember all the turns. When I dont do it for like a month or so I forget most of it too. At night I can barely sleep too, usually from mon-fri i get like 5 1/2 hours or so at most.
