What is labour day and why cant i wear white after it ? :S

Thanksgiving is always the fourth Thursday in November.

Labor Day is the first Monday in September. Wearing white after labor day is an old joke and myth. I always heard it started because of temperature and during winter white would make you colder, etc. It's now mainly just a dumb joke or saying.

Yams are vegetables; if you have seen sweet potatos you know what they look like.

Grilled Cheese is a sandwhich with cheese grilled between two pieces of bread.

Ok so in britain :
Grilled cheese would be a cheese toastie,
labour day would be the start of the autumn term , we dont celebrate thanksgiving and yams are sweet potatoes! Thanks for clearling that up ! Im sure I think of some more questions for you!
