Speaking of gator, I had that in St. Louis. It wasn't too bad, kinda taste like chicken, yup.
The weirdest thing might have been this one time it had a weird name for it, but it was basically the outline of a cow's stomach or something like that. I wasn't told what it was until I tried it and almost puked at the table..
I don't think i've ever really had anything weird except bloody pease pudding.

Oh! I know what you are talking about. It's called "menudo" and it's the inner stomach of the cow, the "lining" of the stomach. They have it in Mexico and China (and some other places too)
The worst I've had is boiled duck egg in China. You could see there was something incubating in there!!!! GROSS
