Rep Power: 4 ![]() gXboxLive Leaderboard: 36th | For you voters out there? Today I participated in my 2nd vote spectacular at the elementary school which still has that elementary school smell that it had when I went there 11-12 years ago. Anyways, I decided to vote against the people that were insistent on calling my house, dropping by my house to try to get a vote, or sent out massive amounts of fliers. I think I made 2 exceptions, 1 was because I joined one person's myspace account like 6-7 months ago so he had me before I was easily getting pissed off. The other was a senator and I voted for the Democrat because I kind of think it is time for a change. I know some people don't like to say who they voted for but I'm just curious if you all voted for the people that bothered you all the time. |

Rep Power: 15 ![]() | I voted mostly Democrat. Eliot Spitzer looks like he will be the new Governor of New York (the current Governor, George Pataki didn't run for re-election), Hillary Clinton looks like she will be re-elected, and Louise Slaughter (who represents my district in the House) is so popular that she will likely remain in office until she retires. I couldn't bring myself to vote for the current Comptroller (Alan Hevesi, a Democrat) because he used taxpayer money to have a state employee be a chauffeur to his wife. I also didn't vote for the Democratic nominee for Attorney General for 2 reasons: he admitted to having not practiced law since 1978 (which seems like should be required for an ATTORNEY) and has said he wouldn't prosecute Hevesi. |

Voting is like, totally awesome. Ok, so that's not really what I have to say. But yeay nonetheless. The idiots out here voted for a new costly public transit rail system that will make a few stops around town (examples: air port, zoo, a few museums no one go to, the local university, etc). It'll cost taxpayers a bundle and no one will ride it. Ah public transportation in the mid west. And Missouri minimum wage was raised to $6.50.

I think this will give the Dems just enough rope to hang themselves in 2008. People will be mad at them by 2008 and elect another Republican President and the Republicans will gain back the House and the Senate. I am just very thankful that we have still have a Conservative Republican President that can veto any radical left wing non-sense they try to pass as law.

They would have to have a 2/3 majority in both the House and the Senate. Even if they end up with a majority in the senate it will only be by two Senators.

You know there are enough moderate dems to counteract that anyways. They all realize they'll be up for reelection sometime. I just can't wait for gay marriage to become mandatory.
