I remeber my mom waking me up and telling me Iraq had shot missels at us and hit New York and Washington D.C. was gone, and we're at war. I was like what? So I got up to find my brother and mom watching TV and the second tower had just fallen. I remember everybody everywhere was just in a daze. Every single channel (including Cartoon Network) had news on. I remember when I tried making phone calls I'd pick up the reciever and have to wait like 10 minutes before getting a dial tone. It was the first day I never seen an airplane or helicopter in the sky. I live right by an Air Force base and that place was just flooded. It's weird how they were showing the same clips and saying the same things but still I couldn't take my eyes off of the TV. Even the radio stations weren't playing music, just news.

I was awoken by my mother and she told me what had happened. I was in my first semester of college at the time. I didn't really know what to think.

I was coming into third period English when I heard about the first plane hitting. My teacher at the time pretty much had us write what we knew about terrorism and how we felt about what was going on.

It just took so long to take in. Seeing the firemen run towards the towers and, what seemed like ages later, the towers falling. It was unbelievable. The rest of the day was just sad. Come lunch time, no one was really talking. We ate, but we didn't. We watched the television, had idle conversation but that was it.

Yet one kid...one Somalian had the nerve to scream out, amid the cafeteria, "This is what America deserves!" Of course, he got the holy hell kicked out of him.

Thousands of people died, all because a group of Islamic Radicals misinterpret their own Holy text. And they still continue to murder innocent people because of their radical beliefs. These aren't missions from God. They're doing Satan's work, pure and simple.

And as much as I dislike our politics now and as much as I think President Bush rides this tragedy for his own agenda, that doesn't stop me from loving my country. And I'll say this, the terrorists did do something when they crashed the planes into the towers: they tore out the heart of America.

When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

I know where Bush was at the time...He was sitting in Kindergarten reading kids books with the children, sippin on a juice box, munchin on a cookie, and just about ready for nap time.

I was getting ready for work, and going to work. While getting ready, I had the TV on in the back ground, low volume. I heard something about a bomb, but, didn't stop and listen. I was in a rush. On the way to work, I didn't listen to the radio, as I didn't have to far to drive. I was employed with an university. In the University, practically every tv, radio, and such had nothing but the news on. When I walked in, I noticed everyone around TVs. I knew something had happened. Seeing what happened was a shock. It felt unreal.

Classes were still held that day, but, not too much classwork got done. We were all peeled to the TV, most of the time. It was that way for a few days.

I was watching a show called "Rove". After the commercial break was going to be an interview with Bret Hart (I kid you not) but just before the break some rolling text came up outlining what had happened and when the show went to commercial, all feeds were coming from the States with live coverage.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I was sitting in my Spanish III class and the head of our Social Studies department was going into every class room to alert the teacher as to what happened. My teacher was one of the smartest people I have ever met and he had opportunities to be a college professor but turned them down. Any way, we spent the rest of that class talking about the future and he was right on. He said that this would be the defining day of your generation and that nothing will ever seem the same again.

He was right, I am 21 and growing up before 9/11, I thought nothing could happen to America only because I was growing up without a major war at hand unlike generations of my past had to endure. I don't count the Gulf War because it never really took place. It is hard to believe that we have essentially been fighting the war on terror for about 5 years. The United States was only in World War II for 4 years. This has taken place longer and it doesn't seem like it is going to end.
