Your hand: Game: No-Limit Texas Hold'em, Tournament Position: Late Type of game: Normal Blinds: $300 $600 Everyone folds and a player from late position makes it $1,200 to go. You are on the button with $3,000 in chips left. The average stack is $8,500. What should you do? Fold? Call? Re-raise all-in?

More often than not people with great pairs to start with hold their cards too close. I would go for it (and most likely lose haha)

You really have no chips left and that hand should be the hand you should be going all in with. By just calling you will basically have to go all in on the next bet anyway cause you are pot commited, but by just calling you are letting the two blinds come in for chip and pocket 9's against 3 or 4 guys, is not THAT strong. Also when people raise from late positions, half of the times, they are usually just stealing and he might only have an A high or something and if thats the case, you are a good favorite. The other half of the times, you are in a race.

You're already down about 5k compared to everyone else, and you have a winnable hand. It's not a guaranteed win, or even a strong hand, but it's one you can win with. If you call this round, you're going to be all in next round. If you fold, you're throwing away a winnable hand, and that's not something I like to do when I'm already down. When you're down, you have to take chances to get back up. And really, if you were to fold with the pocket 9's, you're simply waiting for a perfect hand that isn't going to come. By going all in, you're establishing yourself as a confident leader this hand, and while it might not get everyone to fold, it'll likely knock at least one person with a better hand than you.
