how many credit cards do you have?

I have an addiction to credit cards. Really cool looking ones. I just got another in the mail today - a nice new Discover card. What's sad is I make up excuses to get them. I'll go through the list of them.

1.) Chase Platinum Card - Only this one I only have because it was my first credit card and they were the only place to give me one. I use it for those recurring purchases, like the phone bill, dsl bill, car insurance ... etc.

2.) American Express Blue Cash - It looks cool. I use it to buy Gas since I get 5% cash back. American Express gives you a lot of member benefits too, like $20 off car rentals from Hetz. 15% off at Overstock.com ... etc.

3.) Discover - This one looks really cool. It's blue, but see through. I use it for school stuff since they usually have the "Get more" specials, where you get like 5-8% back on book purchases, and school payments.

4.) Circuit City Credit - It's lame. I use it to buy my electronics.

5.) American Eagle Credit Card - It's lame too. But they gave me like 20% off a purchase there for signing up.

6.) Amazon.Com credit card - Read above.

That's all I have.

It's hard finding room in the wallet for all these credit cards.

None, I quit all mine because I was spending too much in restaurants and bars without thinking about it.

Now I have to get to a cash machine before I go anywhere and I can manage it better.

I have a Capital One card because that is the only company that would give me credit.

All the others said that I had "insufficient credit history" which is weird because how was I supposed to build credit history without a credit card?

My matto is anyone with over 12 is going to wind up in serious debt someday.
