Have any of you ever been paid by mistake?

What would you do if you were? Would you tell your employer? Hope it didn't get noticed? Think if you own up it may make them think more of you?

I bet Double D would use the extra money to buy a bitter pill or a book defining irony!!

Yesterday at the bank I gave some stupid HOE £70 to put into my account. When I got the receipt, I noticed it only said £50 was paid in. So I said "Hey bitchy, it only says £50 here..." and she said "Oh sorry".

My next receipt said £100. Made £30 from doing nowt, cha ching!

I have been got payed 50 hours for a 15 hour week, did the righty and got told to keep it.

They reckon if your honest enough to tell them they let you keep it, if you dont they dock it from your enxt x weeks pay.

I don't think so. The one time I put in like 25 hours over time though and I actually felt bad with how much more money I got in my pay check. It was pathetic. I felt better once my boss told me that everything he does it all about the money and nothing else.

Funny this has come up. At the restaurant I work at I get paid $7.50 an hour. However, a couple weeks ago I went and got my check. Instead of being paid $7.50 I got paid $12.00 an hour. I kinda felt guilty so I went to the interim manager (our normal managers were off at a company picnic) and asked him how that could happen. Basically, he told me the only way that could happen is if someone signed in, went to mine name directly, changed my pay rate, saved it, and then saved the entire file.

So I said screw it. I cashed the damn thing. And last week, I was once again paid $12.00 an hour. And you know what? I'm just gonna let them keep paying me $12.00 an hour.

Most places, any normal place anyway, would just take it out of an up-coming pay check. So you're not really getting away with much of anything.
