Hybrid Vehicles

So will these things ever catch on?

I would have to think that with gas prices as high as they are right now that there would be a lot of these on the road. I have actually saw a few of these even in West Virginia. But I think for the most part Americans are unwilling to give up their SUV's, pick up trucks, and big luxury cars just to save money on gas. Personally I would never own a hybrid vehicle unless they outlawed regular automobiles. I just don't like how small they are and their engine size leaves a lot to be desired.

So what is your opinion on hybrid vehicles?

Should we be switching?

They do seem to be catching on more since I hear about them being back ordered all the time and people having to be on waiting lists. I think that as they start to produce more of them and the price goes down you will see even more of them.

If I could afford a hybrid I would buy one.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

I think there is definitely a place for them in America. They would be really good for cities and places that have a lot of flat ground. I don't think that they would hold up too well in places like West Virginia that have a lot of hills. Their lack of power would definitely be a bummer.

I am an older car type of person that works on my own cars so I don't really ever see myself owning one of these since I know nothing about how they work......lol.

They are pretty big here.

So are flying cars.

I have a rocket pack. Works OK.

They will catch on though. Eventually they will get better and cheaper (they are all ready cheap with the tax breaks that are given if you buy one). I'd also guess that car standards will be raised to the point where some of the older cars won't be allowed.
