Conspiracy Theories: The price of gas

We have all heard the conspiracy theory that President Bush could have the price of gas lowered if he wanted it lowered and the only reason he is keeping it so high is becuase he and his oil buddy friends are making tons of money from it. So do you believe it? Could a person in the highest office in the land get by with that? Thoughts?

Lets hear them.

It just cracks me up that the guy says there's no evidence of price gouging. Uh, hello? The same gas that was in the ground yesterday all the sudden costs 20 cents more a gallon and the oil execs are making billions more in profit. That's all the evidence you need.

But of course, Bush wouldn't ever recognize that. He wouldn't want his oil buddies to "only" make a 5 billion dollar profit, now would he?

When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
