Ok, so here's a pretty good idea gone horribly wrong.
The Mission Impossible: III marketing team decided to seed 4,500 digital audio players in newspaper boxes in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties that would play the MI theme when the box was opened. The problem? The red and black wires protruding from the boxes made the audio players look like bombs.
So, not only did LAPD have to blow up a newspaper box, but a veteran's hospital was evacuated because of the rack in front. Probably, this was not the intended effect.
