| I know what you're saying BD. People can't say or do whatever it is that they wish. Sometimes there is consequences. As George W. Bush once said, "there should be a limit on freedom." He's a wise-man though. I've destroyed my point. But what I'm saying is that freedom of speech doesn't give you an open card to say whatever it is that you wish. The United States doesn't allow that either. Many reporters have been jailed in this country, which in my opinion is far, far worse. I think sometimes when people make insane statements it only hurts their cause rather than ignite it. He just looks like an idiot. And if he's wrong, as he is, the facts will come out and bury him. If you put a blanket over him you're just going to get the Jesus treatment and people are going to start looking at him harder, with more interest, and start actually wondering if there's merit behind what he's saying. | ||||||||||||||

| I suppose his opinion just stems from what is probably a truth, in that every jewish person of a certain age that lives in Europe claims to have been in a concentration camp. If you meet a man of 60 in this country he'll probably claim that he was at Wembley Stadium when we won the soccer World Cup in 1966. If it were true, there would have been about 30 million in the stadium that day instead of 100,000 (ish). Of course a celebration of a sporting occassion is a nonsense in comparison to the holocaust, however the theory remains even for such dire events. Whilst there are probably many people that claim to have been there that weren't, and that maybe a slight annoyance to people that support far right causes, blatantly denying it is ludicrous and adds nothing to his cause, in fact, quite the opposite. | |||||||||||||||
