Chew, you ever been to the Sooke Potholes? Just gorgeous swimming and hiking.

Anyway, yeah. Around here, you're deemed pretty pathetic if you can't swim.

When people sometimes ask this question in real life I'm pretty shocked, I had assumed swimming is just one of those things you know how to do, like walking.

I'm guessing I had to learn when I was younger, but really I cant imagine learning to swim.

Give it time

I remember when I couldn't swim. I was like 6 and I was just afraid to drown. But then one day I just jumped in the water and learned how to swim in about two and a half seconds. It's all pretty based on natural instinct.

Yeah I kind of have the same thought. Now that I can, it's just like oh man, how could I not swim before? It's so freaking simple! But I guess you gotta pick up the touch before you can do it.

I can swim. Not very good, but decent.

I'm a good old rebel,
Now thats just what I am,
And for this Yankee nation,
I do not give a damn.
I'm glad we fought against her,
I only wish we'd won.
I ain't asking any pardon for anything we've done.

I love swimming, it's great exercise. Now, of course, living in Kansas I'm not exactly surrounded by water, but we have those backyard pools and some of the apartments I lived in had pools. The best thing about an apartment pool in a college town is all the cute girlies in their bikinis sunning. Yeah, I miss my last apartment.

You don't count. You have some extreme floatation devices.
