The whole immigration thing.

There's a big debate going on in congress right now about immigration. Normally the apathetic teenagers have even become involved, many in California walking out of their classes during the school day and holding a protest. The coincidence is that a lot of them claim to be true blooded, patriotic Americans and then wave the Mexican flag during the protest. Perhaps they're just that proud of their heritage or something.

However there's a number of proposals on the line right now to fix the immigration issue. John McCain's calls for a set of fences being placed along the entire border, as well with some other provisions. My opinion is that, that isn't really logical, but it's a solution.

Part of the President's, George Bush (in case you forgot), calls for the documented workers to be placed on a temporary work pass that allows them to work for 3 years. After those 3 years are up, they can pay a renewal of $1,000 to work for another 3 years. I think it's interesting, but not really something I'd expect to see happen in the realistic work. Maybe ideally, not realistically.

What's your opinion?

I think they should close the borders. Fences, guards, the whole nine yards. And they can afford to do that.

Well, I think that'd be nice to do but in my opinion it's sort of putting of a barrier towards that portion of the problem, rather than solving it all together. There's a hundred different ways for people to get across the border, if you block one, then they're just going to take an "alternative route."

True, but it would make it more difficult and less would end up actually getting through.

I don't think there is an answer to this issue really.

What about all the illegal immigrants already in the country? I can never understand why people supports giving them rights and privileges when they aren't even supposed to be in the country to begin with.

As for stopping them from sneaking into the country, i'm not sure. No matter what you do people will find a way in.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

People will always gravitate, legally or illegally, toward the countries that have the most secure environments to raise their children, to make money and to live in relative peace. Therefore, both Britain and the US, among others, are always going to have this problem.
