PN-G elementary principal caught in sting

Beaumont police conducting a sting at Tyrrell Park trying to stop indecency at public parks arrested Doak Lamb, the principal at Woodcrest Elementary School in Port Neches after he requested anal sex from undercover officers. According to the officers, who were patroling the park and going into and out of the public buildings there, Lamb responded to officers advances but rejected oral sex, instead saying that he preferred anal sex and had brought his own condoms.
During a search of Lamb as he was being arrested, a condom fell out of his front left pocket.
When asked if he had any comment, Lamb was silent.
Sources in Port Neches confirmed that Lamb was also a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Groves.

Lamb was accompanied by at least seven other men who were also busted in the sting. Several of those men were arrested for indecent exposure, which is a Class B misdemeanor. The other men were arrested on traffic charges despite having conversations of a sexual nature with male undercover police officers.
"This is the culmination of a two week undercover sting conducted by the Beaumont Police Department," said Officer Eric Heilman.
When asked what the reaction of the men in custody was when they became aware that they were part of an undercover sting, Heilman said, "Some of them are denying their actions and the others are caught and fessing up and admitting it. They are caught. Basically, they are engaging in casual conversation to get a feel for what is going on and then progressing from there. They are asking for various sexual favors. That is about it."

Officials at Port Neches Independent School District confirmed that Lamb had been at his campus earlier in the day. With regards to his arrest, officials were just getting word of what had happened.
"We have no comment at this time because we have not received any information from authorities about this yet. I am assuming we will get info later today," said PN-G Assistant Superintendent Billy Curl.
The names of some of the men arrested on Tuesday during the sting were not immediately known but three others whose arrests were witnessed by The Examiner were:

Keith Brist, who works for Patriot Security, was arrested on traffic charges. He had been approached by officers in a restroom and discussed oral sex but did not violate any indecency laws. Two other men George Murphy, who said he was disabled and Laurence 'LD' Hoffpauir of Winnie, who works at a construction company were arrested on indecency charges.
As they were being arrested some of the men begged officers to be released from custody and asked if there was anything they could do to "let me go." Murphy even started crying and begged to call his wife, saying that he had a bad heart caused from years of diabetes.

Officers who arrested Murphy said that in addition to placing his hands inside his shorts and masturbating, he asked for other pleasures.

Hoffpauir told officers that he hadn't been to Tyrrell Park in years but that, "25 years ago this was the place to be for this sort of stuff."
