What is the problem with posting on a message board with the non-posting community? What are the reasons?

I know the #1 reason is "That's gay" but is that really a reason to not like message boards? It sounds like something I'd say in an argument while trying to knock Babe Ruth.

So what's the deal? Why is it so looked down upon> I'm being serious here. Most of my friends, including my girl (there's your reference Freak) would most likely say "what's wrong with you?"

For me, it's not so much posting on a messageboard that's embarrassing. I think I've told people that I posted on music and guitar boards; hell, I got free tickets to a Jeff Tweedy show in Seattle through the Wilco messageboard, so of course I told people that.

No, for me, it's entirely the fact that it's a wrestling message board.

I've always been, and rightfully so, extremely ashamed of my interest of pro-wrestling. Even when I loved it, know all about the WCW and WWF, was into e-wrestling, and all of that shit. I always had the good sense not to admit it to anyone in real life.

I don't let anyone even on my computer nor do I go into the specifics of what I do online (though I did when I replaced Biff as KYN Administrator, no just kidding) so it's not really an issue. Like I've said before, I often say that I go on "message boards" which is pretty much a lie (I go on this one and that other one) only.

I'll be honest. I go to 3 message boards total. 2 of them you know about and the other is just for porn.

The thing is.. I tell people I watch wrestling. Hell, they come over my house and see that I own wrestling DVDs. Most women I've come across say "That's stupid its fake" but then they move on thinking its just something that "guys like".. Which is false and they are dumb bitches for thinking that because a lot of my guy friends say the exact same thing "That's stupid its fake" but then I make fun of their music collection or something or the fat bitch they recently fucked and all is forgotten.

I just don't tell people I post on message boards. I think mainly because A) I can talk shit about them without their knowing about it and B) and this is the reason why I think people hate message boards....is because they think we are all here looking for friends or something. I have friends, you're my friend you fucking idiot, but that's what they assume..

Yes it's mainly the huge wrestling content of the board that would be a source of ridicule I guess.

That and the homo eroticism.

So basically Blitzspam. He is the cause of all the ridicule in my life.

I love this and the other place though, mainly because they are relatively small. I hate the bigger boards where you get lost in the shuffle of so many posters.

I used to go to this drug message board and preach to them the evils of drugs and drug abuse. I'd always get restricted and threatened and stuff.
