Local Restaurants?
Do any of you have any local restaurants that are not franchised.

There are quite a few from where I am from since it is pretty rural.

One in particular that is pretty funny is called Hillbilly Hotdogs. They specialize totally in hot dogs and have like 20 different kinds of them. They also have things like fried bologna sandwiches.....ha ha ha.

At one mall a little ways a way they had a peanut butter and jelly stand in the food court. What a suprise it didnt last

The Sooke Harbour House here is consistently ranked in the top three restaurants in the entire world. I don't really know what that "ranking" entails, but it comes from different food magazines and associations I assume.

I ate there with my family last summer; it was like 100 dollars a sitting for the cheapest dinner, without any drinks. I think there were six courses though, and I tried some crazy GOOD shit.

For dessert we had this fresh garden sorbet... oh man.

There's a local chain(they have like 8 stores, but only in this region) called Salvatores. They make some great pizza and subs.

There's a few small restaurants i've been too, but I can't recall their names at the moment.
Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

Ports full of No Name restaurants.

J & L - Which makes some ripper burgers, also last summer it was voted best burger on the Island.

Golden Dragon - Which is all about the Chinese food (pretty tasty). The owner of the restaurant actually won the Lottery 2 times in 4 years. The rules state that you can't claim the winnings if you won them to close together, so he got his wife to claim it.
DAMN LUCKY ASIANS!!!

Clam Bucket - Good Food, Hot waitress's, and Nice View. Its not all about the Sea Food there, so its all good.
