Homeless People

I have a few questions about homeless people.

There are no homeless people in my town so I don't really know how to deal with them. Where I go to school it is sort of a bigger town so there are some homeless people. Today I had to park farther away from campus as usual and some homeless guy approached me and asked for some change. I gave him whatever loose change I had in pocket. Should I have?

Do you ever get approached by homeless people?

If so how do you handle it?

I've only been around a few, I live in a small town, but theres at least 3 guys kickin' around, one dude has an entire musical band on his shoe......I'd give 'em change, just a bit, cuz I feel bad, and they should appreciate every penny....but i guess it's not a crime if you don't, do what ya feel!

It depends on where you are. If you are in a big city and you give a homeless guy change and someone else sees it, they will want some too and if you don't give him some, then he will be pissed. I usually just walk by them and ignore them, that seems to be the best thing to do unless they are playing an instrument on the street, then I may give that person some change.

I usually ignore them, and then drive away. Most of them are homeless for not so good reasons.

Where I used to live there were a few in town that were recognisable day to day.

I used to read about some that would actually hobo as a career.

I think they probably do but then make lots of extras by begging in a nice town or area.

They're kind of commuters I guess!

I just ignore them. Working in the city it is all i see. There is this one guy every fucking day he asks me for change when i go to kenmore and i have never given him anything in like 3 months yet he still asks. Plus I ain't givin that guy change when he has a fucking cell phone yet asks for change. He may fool some people but not me.
