Texas accent
I was watching "The Aviator" (great film, Di Caprio is hot), and I couldn't help but be disturbed by the strong, blood from the ear inducing American accent, more specifically from the Texas region.

What's wrong with these people?

I think you are sorely mistaken. We, here in Texas, do not have a strong southern accent like someone from the deep south such as Georgia, the Carolina's, Alabama or Mississippi. That would be the equivalent of saying a guy from jersey sounds like a guy from Chicago. They don't. The accent is totally different. Listen to Stone Cold and hear a Texas accent. Yall are freakin' unbelievable. And the plural for hillibilly is hillbillies. F'ing Yankees.

I have a slight southern drawl but I generally have that "Yo Dude" thing going on as well from time to time.
