Like I said, you wouldn't want a statue of L. Ron or the Satanic precepts inside the courthouse so this isn't really a lot different.

I know of some legal cases where this has all ready been established as a violation.

I don't get why churches can't just keep their stuff in church, where it belongs.

Yeah but the thing is that a statue of L. Ron Hubbard has never been in schools before. The 10 commandments have, and still should be. Like it or not our country was founded on Christianity, and that history should be displayed just as the constitution is.

I bet your one of those people who believe in "interpreting" the constitution too rather than just go by what it says.

Saying that we should weaken an aspect of society because it was a part of history isn't much of an argument though. History changes.

Jesus didn't found America. Last time I checked. And many founding fathers were several notches below God fearing. Franklin used to engage in orgies and worship the devil, for example.

Most of the founding fathers used religion as a political tool. Which is exactly why you shouldn't support the joining of church and state.

Ha ha ha......no point in this. I support and will continue to support the 10 commandments being posted in federal buildings, as well as kids pledging allegiance to one nation under GOD. But it does not matter what I or you think, we will just have to wait and see what the Supreme Court says.

I don't care if it's in the pledge of allegiance, but it was the Federal government that added "under God" to the pledge.
