Parents just need to keep track of their kids.

Kid's shouldn't have the opportunity to have sex.

hahahaha Dak, I'm sorry but that's just too unrealistic. Kids have had sex at young ages since the dawn of time.

Teen pregnancy was very, very high at the start of this country. Trust me, it had nothing to do with the amount of religion in society or how watchful the parents were.

What kids need is a realistic view on sexual health. There shouldn't be a denial of sexual urges, those days are just over, but instead be taught all the information with a strong emphasis on using condoms. It doesn't matter if kids are taught abstinence or made to sign something (as has been proven) or if you try and scare them out of it with misleading facts because they will do it anyway. Hormones dictate a person pretty strongly. The only thing you can do is give kids a good education about it, one that's not far too idealistic, and let them go from there.

I think if Parents teach their kids that is wrong they will listen.

Obviously my beliefs are old-fashioned.

Dak, maybe you're just a better kid then most. I just don't think it's nearly realistic enough for all people.

I know growing up 14-18 that I, or any one that I know, would've made love to a decent looking girl if they were willing despite what anyone would ever have to say about it.

Well I never really had the opportunity to anything wrong because I went to school and came home and that was it. I never went to dances or anything like that in school. It was my own choice, my parents did not try to keep me home or anything like that.

If kids don't have the opportunity to do wrong they can't.

Yeah, but do you honestly expect parents to just watch their kids all the time? A full on Big Brother? It only takes a few minutes outside in the car to get it on. Sometimes less. hahahahahha.

Both parents usually have to work these days too. It's just how things are, they have less time to watch the kid. Hell, I'm all for parents spending more time with their children and watching them and teaching them about how they should love someone before having a rut. But I don't think that's all that should be taught otherwise there's a problem. Condoms are an important lesson too. It's very rare that people use condoms and get pregnant and that's only when they don't use them correctly.

I see what you are saying. Parents will just have to decide how to best raise their kids and decide which approach they want to try.

As for me, if I ever have kids, I will teach them that sex is wrong until marriage because that is my beliefs and I will keep a close tab on them to make sure they are not doing things they should not be doing.
