Will there ever be a time when computers will entirely create art?

Music, novels, movies, etc. Isn't it possible in the future?

Or is it true that I've lost my mind several decades ago?

But seriously though I dont think it will happen because art is the feeling and energy you get between you, the paint brush, the paper and how it all comes together and expresses its self in the end. I dont know if that came out right but its hard to explain.

But art is also about appealing to other individuals. There's a degree of selling in it.

And with that, couldn't computers calculate all the factors that makes "good" art and do it? It seems like one day it could.

I mean, listen to the radio sometime. It's all predictable shit. They are using certain templates for a lot of this. Why couldn't they just have a computer do the template, create it, and whatnot?

I think it will be possible. It doesn't seem that far fetched to me. Look at how far technology advanced between 1900-2000.

Considering that i've seen a lot of "art" that looks like something a 4 year old did sell for thousands of dollars, I think there will be a time when computers can create art and maybe music. Novels and movies would be a little more difficult.

I just realized that there's a short story by someone, I forget the author, about computers who use the basic story forms (man vs. man, man vs. beast, etc) to write stories.

I dont like the idea of having computers do that though, but of course its possible because anything is possible. But to argue my point it wouldent have the same feeling as if man wrote the story or did the painting.

I think the best way to discribe it is lets say you had two people laying on the ground one playing dead and one guy that is dead. The guy that is dead just died from cancer 2 mins ago and the other is a actor who plays the part very well. You couldent tell the difference from a distance but I personally think that you can tell whoses dead and whose not by the vibes and emotional energy that the actor whose playing the part gives off. Now the point that im trying to get out is that the computer doesnt have that sortof energy to give off meaning that the painting or the storys are missing that little something to make the art a completed project.
