State of the Union Live Thread

How many of you watched this? How many didn't?

I wish I wasn't so ashamed of this President. I hate those little smirks he makes with his face. He looks like he is five years old. I hate the idea that other people in other countries see him on television. That just destroys me.

On the plus side, it seems like he practiced in front of the mirror and with a vocal coach because he didn't stumble too much and was fairly articulate about his points.

I watched. Pretty good job overall in presentation. Didn't really say anything new. Tried to not offend anyone, kind of played to both sides......typical everyday politics.

I watched Liar, Liar(the movie, not Bush).

I just get so bored watching the State of the Union addresses, not to mention the fact that you never know when Bush is telling the truth and when he's lying.

You never know when anyone is lying.....especially politicians. That is their job.

Bush looks like the kind of guy who should be mopping the floor at the White House, not the guy living there.

Something has clearly gone wrong.

But Bush seems to lie even more than others based on what i've seen. I also don't think he should be President, he was handed the presidentcy by the Florida Supreme Court in 2000 and won in 2004 because the many gay marriege amendments brought many conservatives to the polls.

Got to admit though that the 2004 re-election campaign was handled brilliantly.
